The Hudaybiyyah Treaty Museum

The Hudaybiyyah Treaty Museum, owned by Hamoud Hammad Al-Thubaiti, was initially conceived due to its historical significance and to commemorate the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah. It is located near the Hudaybiyyah Mosque, just 350 meters from the well. The museum's geographical location was also a factor, as was the presence of ancient remains of the well and the adjacent reservoir. It was at the Hudaybiyyah Well that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) concluded the terms of the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah in Dhu al-Qi'dah of the sixth year of the Hijra. The representative of the Quraysh at that time was Suhayl ibn Amr (may God be pleased with him). The Treaty of Hudaybiyyah was concluded before his conversion to Islam. Behind the well lies the Prophet's Mosque (peace be upon him), and the Pledge of Ridwan took place during that period when the Quraysh detained Uthman ibn Affan (may God be pleased with him), the Prophet's (peace be upon him) representative. This is the site of the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah, the first peace treaty in Islamic history. Islamic history has immortalized the location of Hudaybiyyah, west of the Grand Mosque (Masjid al-Haram). Because of its connection to the life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him),

IT was the site of the Pledge of Ridwan and the location of the first peace treaty with the Quraysh, which later paved the way for the conquest of Mecca. The site also gains significance due to its markers indicating the boundaries of the Grand Mosque. The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities has erected a metal structure to mark the location of the well, which dates back to the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The museum is distinguished by its location on the main road, the historical route used by pilgrims and Umrah performers coming from the old Jeddah-Mecca road, known as Al-Shumaisi.
