The Al-Bayt Al-Aseel Museum is located in the Al-Zaidy district in Makkah, the holiest place on earth. It welcomes visitors, especially locals, to explore its historical collections that span over 1,000 years, with each section of the museum telling unique stories and preserving moments of the past.
The museum features rare artifacts that reflect the historical heritage of Saudi Arabia over the past century, including a wide range of traditional crafts and professions such as blacksmithing, carpentry, perfumery, cotton trading, rosary making, and goldsmithing.
It also includes sections dedicated to pre-electricity-era gas-operated devices, ancient coins, and old audio-visual equipment. One of its most distinctive highlights is a full room designed to replicate the Kiswah of the Holy Kaaba with detailed explanations.
In addition, the museum blends past and present through modern interactive screens that provide visitors with informative content. Spanning three floors, it is designed to immerse visitors in the atmosphere of the past through traditional décor, seating areas, and hands-on displays that allow guests to experience history up close.
Guests are welcomed and introduced to the itinerary, with an overview of the route and the key landmarks to be visited throughout the journey.
A guided tour of selected landmarks and attractions included in the route, highlighting their historical, cultural, and religious significance.
A scheduled stop for lunch and relaxation before continuing the remainder of the journey.
Guests proceed to the transportation area to return after completing the visit.
Your tour will conclude in San Francisco on Day 8 of the trip. There are no activities planned for this day so you're free to depart at any time. We highly recommend booking post-accommodation to give yourself time to fully experience the wonders of this iconic city!
Day 1 of this tour is an arrivals day, which gives you a chance to settle into your hotel and explore Los Angeles. The only planned activity for this day is an evening welcome meeting at 7pm, where you can get to know your guides and fellow travellers. Please be aware that the meeting point is subject to change until your final documents are released.
Airport transfers are not included in the price of this tour, however you can book for an arrival transfer in advance. In this case a tour operator representative will be at the airport to greet you. To arrange this please contact our customer service team once you have a confirmed booking.
This tour has an age range of 12-70 years old, this means children under the age of 12 will not be eligible to participate in this tour. However, if you are over 70 years please contact us as you may be eligible to join the tour if you fill out G Adventures self-assessment form.
